| Abstract: | Notes are given on 8 spp. of Aframomum (Zingiberaceae) from East Africa. One new species, A. usambarense, is described. The name A. laxiflorum sp. nov. is validated. A. crassilabium is regarded as nomen dubium. Other species [A. ameniense, A. letestuanum, A. melegueta, A. alpinum, A. midbraedli and A. luteo-album] recorded from the area are listed, but require further study. |
